CAPTAINS!! Before you sign the card at the end of each match it is your responsibility (win or lose) to make sure it's filled in fully & that all of the names are PRINTED CLEARLY.
We are currently considering counting illegible (unreadable) names as LOSSES. They botch up the stats for everyone else & we have no way of knowing if these people are registered players, banned players, doppelgangers, ringers, doubles, cheats, fraudsters, stat-fiddlers or escaped convicts!!!
This may seem like a harsh step, but we have been asking nicely for over a year now, and shouldn't really have to ring round every week.
TRANSFERS/PLAYER POACHING
CLARIFICATION: PLAYERS MAY PLAY FOR ONE TEAM ONLY PER SEASON, SO ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED ONE OR MORE MATCHES FOR THEIR TEAM, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER SIDE.
UNPLAYED PLAYERS THAT WISH TO TRANSFER MUST NOTIFY GEOFF.

LEYPOOL has upheld requests to scrap the zonal league which used to run every other season, so we are now running a straight league format ie. top three teams gain promotion, bottom three relegated.

Leyland & District Pool League has been in existence for over 30 years serving pool players from clubs and pubs from across the South Ribble area.
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS SEASON, however pub or club managers and landlords/ladies can boost custom by applying to enter a new team for next season. League matches are always held at 8pm Tuesdays, with all teams in a division playing each other twice over the season (once at home and once away). Each team fields 7 of their registered players on match night. There are 2 seasons each year, Summer League and Winter League, with trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Additionally, we run two Thursday night cup competitions over the course of the Summer League.

ALL THE CARDS ARE COLLECTED OVER THE COURSE OF A WEEK AND DROPPED OFF WITH THE DESIGNER OF THE NEW SITE, WHO UPDATES THE RESULTS (FREE OF CHARGE) WITHIN 7 DAYS - HENCE 1 TO 2 WEEKS BEHIND. ALSO, THANKS TO THE MANY PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN COMPLIMENTARY ABOUT THE ON-LINE IMPROVEMENTS.
